I recommend closing this 12 year-old bug. 1. If it wants to add groff special character identifiers of the form "U2500" to the predefined groff glyph list, it's "wontfix". 2. If it wants to document glyphs that are not accessible via a groff special character identifier _apart_ from those selecting Unicode character by code point, it's "wontfix". 3. If it is addressing deficiencies in the erstwhile page-local `C2` macro used by the groff_char(7) page, it is invalid, and has been since since 2012. I don't think it would benefit Debian any to deviate from upstream practice as regards points 1 and 2. Further details are available at the forwarded-to- URL. Regards, Branden
