Hi,

You are correct. I was using po4a-gettextize to update PO.

Good news is migration to pure po4a command only approach is not much of work.
Just
a bit more CPU time waisted but ... it is actually cleaner.

After initial surprise, I tried a few experimental builds with cool head. I
realized
I can easily migrate to pure po4a-way even for a document with lots (2.5K
msgid) of
auto-generated contents without burdening the translators. Excluding 2.5K
msgids is
important for each translators. Just for the record, let me write down this
for the
record.

* create original English document
* create filtered and trimmed English document
* move existing po's to po4a places (Maybe this can be avoided but I wanted
simple
proven set up)
* po4a -v po4a/po4a.cfg
   * use po4a/po4a.cfg to create and update PO using po4a in po4a/po
   * Useless generation of filtered translated document is the side effect
* cp -r po4a po4a-tmp
* cp -f po4a-tmp.cfg po4a-tmp/po4a-tmp.cfg
* po4a -v po4a-tmp/po4a-tmp.cfg
   * use po4a-tmp/po4a-tmp.cfg to create and update PO using po4a (no need to
store
result)
   * Important generation of full translated document
* rm -rf po4a-tmp

Pure po4a approach doesn't allow me to use auto translation between zh-tw and
zh-cn
but this is not so critical. Maybe this can be addressed too with the help of
gettext package and script. (Instead of just "cp -r", we run script I suppose.)
