The lsb_release value was both used by add-apt-repository from the software-properties-common package when adding a APT repository and by the debian/configure script when deciding how to configure the Debian build system. The latter used 'lsb_release -s -i' andf 'lsb_release -s -r'. The former used to return Debian and the latter returned 'unstable. > What did it do in the past?
