I noticed that code generation with Python 3.11 succeeded, and failed only with Python 3.10. My hypothesis is that it happened because we do not generate .pyi files with non-default Python versions. I will try to disable .pyi generation completely and see if the package builds on a porterbox. -- Dmitry Shachnev
