Exaclty the same behaviour of internal mc editor and mcedit: just after press 'Enter' key a search dialog starts with futher inserting text from the clipboard. Pressing `ESC' multiple times brings up an exit dialog with saving changes. Exit is possible only if mouse actions are available, because pressing `Enter' will restart the search dialog. The terminal reset, workstation reboot 8:( , cleaning mc cache/configs do not help.
