Please see my comment in the email that bumped severity [1]. It said that I was going to upload new Sphinx to unstable the next weekend. I bumped the severity a bit earlier to notify the maintainers about the upcoming upload and give them more chance to fix these bugs before the packages actually start to FTBFS.
