Dear maintainer, With edk2 2023.11-2, the OVMF 2MB pflash images have been removed and replaced with their 4MB counterparts. See https://salsa.debian.org/qemu-team/edk2/-/blob/76f721d51f93647a8f3650f9f26593ff82089ad0/debian/ovmf.NEWS Currently, virt-v2v is unable to convert a Win 11 image (from ova to qcow2) since it is not able to find the UEFI files. ovmf 2023.11-3 is currently installed on my system. virt-v2v -v -x -i ova -o libvirt -of qcow2 -oo compressed -oc 'qemu:///system' ~/.cache/ansible_bootstrap_win11_vm/win11.zip -on win11 fails with: virt-v2v: error: cannot find firmware for UEFI guests. You probably need to install OVMF (x86-64), or AAVMF (aarch64) I can provide a full log, if needed A fix can be found in https://salsa.debian.org/santiago/virt-v2v/-/commits/OVMF-4M Cheers, -- Santiago -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers stable-security APT policy: (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-security'), (500, 'oldoldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldoldstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.5.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled -- no debconf information
