I don't know. I'm not involved with salsa.

For this concrete case it may be as simple as adding dependency on sudo. In case it is trivial for you to rerun the failing test with extra dependencies, could you try that? I'd like to avoid doing debugging NMUs with untested bugfixes ;-)
