Package: xscreensaver
Version: 5.05-3
Severity: minor

After upgrading, I notice that after unlocking the screen I'm usually
presented with a message "There has been x failed login attempts". This
message stays on the screen for an inscreasingly irritating period of
time (OK, only 4 seconds or so :-).
I've discovered that this is also triggered by simply moving the mouse
which shows the password dialog box without actually entering anything
at all. I would hardly call that "a failed login attempt".

Is there any way of disabling this message? I couldn't care less, if
people want to hack my account they wouldn't do it via xscreensaver, ssh
is much more useful; or even ctrl-alt-f1 to get a console login. In the
meantime that forced delay is irritating...

thanks,
Paul Slootman
