First there can only be one style per makeindex call. And second but most important, if I use this way I get something like "makeindex -c -s - -s -s test.ist -o test.iab test.oab" (Note the 3 "-s"!). This do not work that way. However, using the MAKEINDEX_OPTIONS like I did before works well.
