Severity: normal
Tags: ipv6

Even though the pgsql database on a.ns.madduck.net stores the short
version of IPv6 addresses in the AAAA records' contents fields, the
server inconsistently sometimes inserts a 0 in replies:

piper:~|% dig @a.ns.madduck.net aaaa piper.oerlikon.madduck.net +short
2001:41e0:ff12:0:211:2fff:fe6b:c869
piper:~% dig @a.ns.madduck.net aaaa pulse.madduck.net +short
2001:41e0:ff1a::1

Note how the first is 2001:41e0:ff12:0:211:2fff:fe6b:c869
                                    ^^^
instead of 2001:41e0:ff12::211:2fff:fe6b:c869
                         ^^

Yet, in the database, both using the short form.
