I have libpam-ck-connector and it is referenced from /etc/pam.d/kdm: # # /etc/pam.d/kdm - specify the PAM behaviour of kdm # auth required pam_nologin.so auth required pam_env.so readenv=1 auth required pam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale @include common-auth session required pam_limits.so session optional pam_ck_connector.so @include common-account @include common-password @include common-session Also, when reconfiguring libpam-ck-connector it tells me: "pam-auth-update: Local modifications to /etc/pam.d/common-*, not updating." So it's possible that there is some cruft in the PAM config.
