The respective workstation has an "nVidia Corporation G84 [GeForce 8600 GT] (rev a1)" graphics card. I'm using the non-free nvidia driver 185.18.14-2 built with module-assistant. Not sure if it's officially supported. OTOH the non-free nvidia driver seems to be pretty widespread.
