Using `\(aq' creates a problem with non-GNU troff, because it is a GROFF
extension and doesn't output anything with AT&T troff.

So I have to tag this wontfix for the moment.

Can we at least have an option to produce manual pages that are non-portable while being displayed correctly on Debian systems?
