Terminal transparency is broken in Gnome too, you can only see the desktop wallpaper, not the windows behind the terminal.
http://koti.mbnet.fi/leevi/kuvat/error/terminaltransparency.jpg Tested it with 2 machines + QEMU, same thing everywhere.
