Package: petsc Version: 3.1 Severity: normal Hi Adam, trying to package getdp on i386. I end up with lintian errors (binary-or-shlib- defines-rpath). It turns out that the PETSC_KSP_LIB variable coming from petsc is responsible for these errors. Indeed it is defined as:
${C_SH_LIB_PATH} -L${PETSC_LIB_DIR} ${PETSC_KSP_LIB_BASIC} ${PETSC_EXTERNAL_LIB_BASIC} and C_SH_LIB_PATH and PETSC_EXTERNAL_LIB_BASIC contain "-Wl,--rpath"... This issue is only valid for i386 to my knowledge. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
