Well there is no rock solid problem,.. I _personally_ just think,...
that recommends is enough in most meta-package cases ;)

Anyway.... this bug was mainly about adding -experimental =)

Sounds also interesting,... I'd personally choose the following:

Depends:
-std
-std-proposed

Recommends:
-fyi-bcp
-experimental (or Suggests,.. but ofter well used "standards" remain in
experimental for a long time)
-misc
-informational

Suggests:
-others
-old-std
