Package: tesseract-ocr-dev Version: 2.04-2 I suppose the libraries in tesseract-ocr-dev are not calling any binaries in tesseract-ocr. It should be visa versa: binaries in tesseract-ocr might use the libraries in tesseract-ocr-dev. In this case tesseract-ocr-dev should be split into: * libtesseract-ocr (*.so only) * libtesseract-ocr-dev (*.a, *.la, *.h, ...) otherwise the dependency should be simply dropped.
