Package: opensm Version: 3.2.6-20090317-2 Severity: normal
Dear maintainers, opensm poses some problems: 1. apt-get remove --purge is not possible when there are several instances running on the network and this instance is therefore not started. However, in the PID file there is a processnumber logged, which can not be stopped: Shutting down opensm on 0x0002c9020029aa2d: start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 3322: No such process 1 pids were not killed No process in pidfile '/var/run/opensm-0x0002c9020029aa2d' found running; none killed. invoke-rc.d: initscript opensm, action "stop" failed. dpkg: warning: subprocess old pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 dpkg - trying script from the new package instead ... Shutting down opensm on 0x0002c9020029aa2d: start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 3322: No such process 1 pids were not killed No process in pidfile '/var/run/opensm-0x0002c9020029aa2d' found running; none killed. invoke-rc.d: initscript opensm, action "stop" failed. dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/opensm_3.2.6-20090317-2_amd64.deb (--unpack): subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 ==== 2. startupscript is not ready for depency-based booting update-rc.d: warning: opensm-boot start runlevel arguments (S) do not match LSB Default-Start values (2 3 4 5) update-rc.d: warning: opensm-boot stop runlevel arguments (none) do not match LSB Default-Stop values (0 1 6) System start/stop links for /etc/init.d/opensm-boot already exist. To remove the package i start 'tail -f' in another terminal, enter the pid of the 'tail' process in the /var/run/opensm-0x0002c9020029aa2d PID file and only then i am able to remove/update/upgrade.
