I knew it was a naive patch....which is why I included Stave in the loop. Getting sort of an ACK from him made me think it is OK...but any mch better solution is welcomed. And, of course, that pertains to upstream so you're welcomed to take this over, Andrew..:-) Thanks for following up and, as it seems, still listening to the Debian BTS, after so many years....!
