I fail to see how not building this package fixes the bug. For me, not having the sdbc driver makes the whole Base functionality useless as the jdbc driver is way (10x) to slow and the odbc driver only produces errors.
Even the broken sdbc driver is at least able to retrieve records from the database a great speed. The problem is that is does not let you update or add records.
