Well, I can't reproduce it. I tried on a system running testing and also on a qemu virtual machine running unstable. Do you have something unusual in your system? I see this in your log: > /usr/local/bin/xgettext Can you reproduce it after removing such file from your system and actually using the gettext version I've just uploaded for unstable?
