Thanks for the logs. They confirmed the bug very nicely. I've done some testing and found one system where the same error was occurring. For a fix, edit "/usr/sbin/usb_modeswitch_dispatcher" and look for line 244. It says "# after 500"; now just remove the comment sign "#" and save. See if you get rid of the problem afterwards.
