Dear All, I had a look at the code in this patch. It appears to follow analogously from the existing method by which festival finds voices. Extending this to languages does appear to be a natural extension.
My testing agrees it is backward compatible. Their appears to be merit in this patch whether of not upstream adopts it. Jean-Philippe, I think we should add this patch with the two lintian patches and the clustergen patch for the quick release we discussed on the weekend. The patch only affects architecture independent scheme files so it wont change building so we need do not need to hold it off. best regards, Peter
