This package has a debianization patch 'gtk_gui', which makes web2py fail to start without the gtk2 python bindings. It adds a class 'web2pyGtkDialog' inheriting from 'gtk.Window', which may not be available on the system (python-gtk2 is only recommended). If the '--nogui' command line switch is given, this class won't even be used, so the code should compile and run without depending on the python-gtk2 package.
