Package: xsmbrowser Version: 3.4.0-16 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
xsmbroswer passes the following command: smbclient \\Server\share -U username -I server.ip -N -W workgroup -c dir returns the following error: tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME The -N flag causes the smbclient to attempt an anonymous connection -- without password. I believe Samba 3 requires full authentication for browsing. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xsmbrowser depends on: ii expectk 5.43.0-17 A program that can automate intera ii smbclient 2:3.3.3-1 command-line SMB/CIFS clients for Versions of packages xsmbrowser recommends: ii smbfs 2:3.3.3-1 Samba file system utilities Versions of packages xsmbrowser suggests: pn mc | gmc | nautilus | konquer <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
