Why should the condor user be a "system" user? for one, it requires a valid email address if you want email sent by condor not being tagged as SPAM by overzealous SPAM filters. And if you use LDAP for authentication you typically use it for email too, so the condor user naturally fits as a non-system LDAP user. Couldn't this check be lifted altogether, or at least give the possibility to set UID and GID of the condor user on installation? Thank you for your quick reply!
