Just tried today with a fresh Debian install and got the same problem with 20150422 but, against all expectations, the 20150422+deb8u3 as well as the current symlink worked fine this time.
I'm thinking maybe I made a stupid error using wget to download both version and not doing any remove before... Not sure, but seems like all my qemu test was always using the 20150422 instead of the +deb8u3 one. Anyway, it's working now and sorry for the disturbance.
