The problem only shows if - the tests run in verbose mode and - the tests directly write output to a terminal. In this case the tested git command reads the size of the output and adjustd itself. Also in this case the test output is colored. So plain dpkg-buildpackage is affected, but buildds are not as they redirect anything to a file. > Can you still reproduce this issue?
