Package: libauthcas-perl
Version: 1.5-1
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

CAS authentication fails when the xml file provided by CAS servers is missing a
new line character after the XML declaration. We have tested that this
declaration works fine:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<cas:serviceResponse xmlns:cas='http://www.yale.edu/tp/cas'>

but this one fails providing a "CAS ticket validation failed" error:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?><cas:serviceResponse
xmlns:cas='http://www.yale.edu/tp/cas'>

I understand that both forms of the XML file are syntactically valid and the
file should be equally parsed.
