The current kernel version in unstable (and now also in testing) is
5.16.  For those who don't choose another kernel version, this
incompatibility "makes the package in question unusable".

That's great, feature testing is the right way to do this.  I only
wrote a version check because I didn't notice OpenAFS had the
infrastructure for feature testing.
