this would be unlikely. on all three of the machines i experienced this bug on, man-db had never been installed before. completely virgin systems. i tend to lean toward the idea that this is a kernel bug. i seem to remember something on kernel traffic (kt.linuxcare.com) about a very rare bug that rears it's ugly head with dpkg. can't find it now. then again, i guess that's about as likely as solar flares... anyone have any other guesses? -- (jacob kuntz) [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED],underworld}.net (megabite systems) "think free speech, not free beer."
