I guess in the long-term then, the bash issues should be fixed. Could we change the default shell on X86_64 Debian Hurd in the meantime, as a temporary solution? Or is that a silly suggestion? I assume the ksh shell is simplier, mainly because that is the default shell in OpenBSD. Also, this is coming from someone who has yet to try the 64 bit Hurd. I should really fire up qemu and give it a try. Joshua
