Me with SDDM. I am currently using

qdbus --system org.freedesktop.DisplayManager
/org/freedesktop/DisplayManager/Seat0
org.freedesktop.DisplayManager.Seat.SwitchToGreeter

to open new users' sessions.

I don't know if the problem lies in plasma though.
