Last time I checked, Matrox still had all sorts of problems with the idea of supporting the second head on a G450/G550 correctly, including but not limited to the DCC problem and mis-implemented maximum refresh rates. But that "last time" was a long time ago... while I still own the card, I don't run X (indeed, don't run Linux) on that box any longer.
