Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I am using a nebook, Asus Eee PC. I am dual booting, Windows 7 is the other OS. I'm new to Ubuntu only had it installed about a month so not sure what I'm doing. But I was running 9.14, and then upgraded to 10.04 about a week ago. On 9.14 I had no problem with screen brightness. Once 10.04 was installed the screen brightness is down around 60-70% I'd guess, even while the setting is at 100%. After 2 minutes of activity (I have set it at 2 minutes) when the screen normally should dim, instead it brightens slightly, perhaps 5% more brighter. Both performance and powersaver are set at 100%. No change to screen brightness between AC and battery settings. If I lower the setting on either powersaver or performance it will respond appropriately, but it will not get brighter. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- screen permanently on dim https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
