Found it, it should be only in trunk, released with 5.3.0 [1]. So it is
fix released for quantal. I'm still not sure how did you see the fix in
5.2, but I guess that doesn't really matter, as it's fixed anyway.

Title:
Checking/unchecking any add-on checkbox moves them all

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

Ubuntu Software Center 4.0.3, Ubuntu 11.04
Ubuntu Software Center 5.1.14.1, Ubuntu Precise Beta 2

  1. Navigate to any item that has add-ons, e.g. Inkscape.
  2. Check or uncheck any of the add-ons.
  3. Uncheck or check it to return it to its previous state.

  What happens:
  2. The checkbox, and all the other add-on checkboxes, jump downwards.
  3. All the add-on checkboxes jump upwards again.

What should happen: All the checkboxes stay in the same place.

This is because the "Apply Changes" bar appears above the checkboxes. So that
bar needs to do one of these:
  - always be present
  - have space reserved for it, even when it isn't present
  - appear only below the list of add-ons, not above
  - make the page expand upwards when it appears, not downwards, with the
checkboxes staying in their current position.
