just wanted to note that 2.4 seems broken, at least in Fedora for some setups of wireless networks: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/1473088 a fix in 14.04 seems reasonable, maybe by upgrading to 2.3 if possible.
