Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: PROBLEM 1 I'm selecting a file on the desktop. I'm moving it to an open nautilus window. The cursor takes the form of a hand. The file is not moved. The cursor retains its hand shape. Nautilus remains usable. Firefox is no longer usable (the cursor is no longer present). PROBLEM 2 Similar actions, alternative results. The file move behind the Nautilus windows, staying on desktop, but at a different location. Solution for unlocking problem 1: use gnome-tweak, desktop parameters deactivate icon on desktop. reactivate icon on desktop. Problem solved Behavioral solution: Use the Nautilus tree structure to move files from the desktop to other folders.
