I've the same bug with the Mozaic Zen model. - If I disable support for mtp devices in the plugins, banshee don't crash and see the mtp device (because gnome as mounted it using gphoto2).

Anyway, support of this mtp player is not optimal. Gnomad,amarok, gmtp successfully transfert (with on the fly conversion) tunes. But the support for cover art is missing.
