I really am sorry this issue went unanswered for so long :( The backlog
we've accrued here is truly unfortunate. We'd really like to see the
situation improve, but with over 3000 open bugs, manually testing each
is almost impossible now. The aim today was to ping these older bugs and
allow anyone still effected to respond and put their bug onto the radar
again.

  Bug: Sound freeze for a few seconds when changing volume while playing song 
regardless of using any media player, problem since Ubuntu 9.10 - Ubuntu 10.04, 
no problem with Ubuntu 9.04 or lower.
  Other none related issue: No front panel and multi channel setting in new 
gnome-volume-control.
