Thank you for your bug report. Do you get any error dialog displayed before the hang?
Are you sure it's due to the dot and not the length of the filename? Trying 'w.example.conf' it doesn't hang where it displays an error and hand renaming the same file 'wireguard.example.conf' https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control- center/-/merge_requests/1777 could perhaps help with the issue ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2025118 Title: Adding a wireguard VPN from file hangs the dialog if... Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When importing a wireguard configuration it consistently hangs up the dialog if the filename has more than one dot. I have several profiles like london.fast.conf pol.server.conf node.develop.aws.conf I tried all, all hangs up the dialog. When I remove the extra dots it works like charm.
