design though :/

  gnome-text-editor ignores tab settings

Bug description:
  Trying to edit some kernel c code with it and it's a hassle. The tab settings 
are use tabs, tab size is 8, auto indent. It simply does 2 spaces. Regardless 
of what I'm setting. I'm using version 44.0 on lunar.
