Hi, Could you please review the pull request ( https://github.com/apache/kafka/compare/trunk...MPeli:kafka:KAFKA-1194) and merge it if everything looks alright. Kafka on windows has been plagued by this issue for years and makes it unsuitable for Production deployments. We are a large MNC and need to provide a 100% windows based solution to a few of our customers. If this fix works, this could be a massive help to all windows based customers who can use kafka capabilities. Please do the needful.
