Well, lets put this way...
Every aging file, non-ISO standard file format, should consider a
format facelift.
If you still can open yor aging files, then provide some time to upgrade
to a newer file format.
And you are lucky, LibreOffice has an assistant that will help you to
convert StarOffice files in batch mode, per folder.
Go to Files - Wizzards - Document Converter and choose StarOffice
formats. Follow instrunctions and take a coffee break because it may
take some time to process the folders.
Hint: choose a different folder to receive your converted files.
Otherwise you will end up duplicating files in the same folder.

Usually first info given will be the OS, sorry forgot. Win7 X64 Ultimate. I
suppose that will work in OOO3.4 as well then, but then again the last 2
days on Libre has made me a convert.
Another question: Will legacy support stay for the next version(s)3.5+ or
should we take a hard look at totally replacing Staroffice components in our
company?
