Hi Paige, Just a quick answer... I don't believe fulltext snippets are working yet in DSpace 7 (at least I don't think code exists to support this in the UI & I don't recall seeing this working yet). DSpace 7 *does* support hit highlighting in metadata fields though (e.g. title, author, abstract, etc) in the search results. (That said there was a bug in the title hit highlighting of 7.4 that we recently fixed & will be in 7.5: https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/pull/1973)
