I hastened to change the nndoc code so as to use encoded group names but I agree with you. Though to implement it will take efforts and a long time, I think it is a subject to have to be solved in the future anyway. BTW, I realized that I misunderstood Zhang Wei's case. The group name is encoded by gb2312, not utf-8, as Handa-san wrote. It might be the default of the nntp server that Zhang Wei uses, or the news administrator might have done something wrong.
