Even though the proper flag was apparently set during compilation (I checked
that '+fork()' was present using :version), gvim does NOT fork anymore, and must
be run in the background using '&'.  However, an older version, 6.3, forked just
fine.

This is happening on both a 10.4 on a powerbook and i386 desktop.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Any help would be much appreciated.
