I have had very good luck using Samsung monitors with my Flex 5000 and
currently have an LED Synchmaster SA300 (21.5" widescreen 16:9)
installed at the operating position. It's perfectly quiet on receive and
although it has the electronic soft-touch buttons it does not flinch
even with full legal limit output on any band from 160 - 10 meters or
100 watts on 6 meters. That being said, I have no doubt that the
soft-touch controls could certainly be an issue if the RF field in the
station is high and I would definitely have avoided that "feature" had I
been aware it was potentially problematic. At any rate, I've used 3
different Samsung monitors with my Flex and none of them produce any
garbage on HF or 6 meters.
