Danno : One question. Are you using Virtual Audio Cable to link HRD to PowerSDR or are you using a solution involving external cables from the computer to the Flex-3000 for audio? It is not clear from the description of your setup.
VAC is a much safer solution as it will reduce the chance of RF or noise sneaking into the audio lines and if you go this route you can’t actually use USB/LSB modes because I don’t think that PowerSDR will show the controls to adjust levels for VAC. One other reason why you don’t want to use USB/LSB modes is that it will impact HRDs ability to decode digital signals. On the Flex the digital modes are there because unlike USB/LSB they do minimal processing (i.e. mucking around) on both incoming and outgoing signal. It doesn’t matter if the original bit streams are “corrupted slightly” for SSB as the intent is to improve intelligibility on both TX and RX … but preserving bit integrity does matter when you are encoding or decoding a digital data stream. (This topic is covered in the PowerSDR manual).
